IELTS Speaking Tasks

The IELTS Speaking section is made up of three different tasks. These are the same for the General Training and Academic exams, you can use the same preparation material for either exam. 🎙TASK 1

The examiner will ask the participant simple questions about everyday topics e.g. yourself, your hometown

🎙TASK 2

Participants are given a cue card with bullet points, then asked to prepare a short talk based on the given topic

🎙TASK 3

The examiner and the participant take part in a conversation about more complex topics e.g. technology, travel
