The IELTS Writing section is made up of two different tasks. These are different for the General Training and Academic exams, so make sure you are preparing for the right one. Academic

✍️ TASK 1

Participants are given a diagram to describe in a short report

✍️ TASK 2

Participants need to write a formal essay in response to one of five types of questions and/or statements

General Training

✍️ TASK 1

Participants need to write a formal or semi-formal essay in response to a question or statement

✍️ TASK 2

Participants need to write a response letter in the appropriate format
